Role: Quantity SurveyorLocation: West LondonSalary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annumWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a team, primarily based in West London. This role involves extensive interaction with clients, including regular meetings and site visits. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and working from scope/designs, obtaining pricing from suppliers, scheduling works for projects, and much more.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client meetings to discuss project requirements and updates.
  • Travel between sites in West and South London for client meetings and site visits.
  • Visit client sites to assess project needs and scope.
  • Building up scope based on client meetings and site visits.
  • Working from scope/designs to create accurate project plans.
  • Get pricing from suppliers for necessary materials and services.
  • Scheduling of works for projects based on project scope and timelines.
  • Review works with internal teams/engineers to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Agree pricing and send quotes to clients for approval.
  • Account management/relationship management to maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Operate not tenders or bidding, working from framework to streamline project initiation.
  • Build rapport to gain repeat work through exceptional service and project delivery.
  • Dealing directly with end users on projects and not contractors for a more personalised approach.
  • Estimating costs to provide accurate financial forecasts.
  • Calculate material quantities required for each project.
  • Plan project timelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Liaising with teams to help projects stay on track and address any issues promptly.
Experience and Certifications Required:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships, gaining trust, and managing accounts.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Construction background with experience in high-end commercial or industrial projects.
  • Emotional intelligence to navigate complex client interactions.
  • Preference for candidates located as close to Heathrow as possible, for ease of travel and client engagement.
