- Being the lead technical point of contact for all ILS related aspects
- Design for Supportability input into the design process
- Definition of Systems or product support strategies, solutions and plans
- Definition of Systems Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and Supportability BOM (SBOM)
- System or product Reliability modelling, including Failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA), Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) definitions.
- Reliability, Availability and Maintainability analysis
- Range and scaling of spares
- Definition of maintenance schedules and procedures for preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance
- Definition of training strategies
- Production of Whole Life Cost Models
- Definition of Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation solutions
- Definition of obsolescence strategies
- Management of product and component obsolescence
- Significant experience in Leading ILS teams within the Defence sector
- Experience contributing to bid responses, understanding customer requirements, and providing ILS plans
- Experience of leading and managing teams
- Experience in defining strategic Support solutions
- Experience in the service support of low volume, high value, products and systems in a highly regulated environment
- Knowledge and experience of applying through-life support standards such as DEF STAN 00-600, 00-40, 00-42, Mil Std 217F
- Strong knowledge of MOD support frameworks and their application as a supplier
- Degree or HND/HNC qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, or relevant experience in the Defence Industry
