A really exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hospital Services Finance Team as Finance Business Partner for the Division of Surgery within Aneurin Bevan UHB. This is a permanent opportunity, and we are looking for a commercially focused and experienced Accountant who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and has an appetite for helping to drive future transformational change. This will include playing an integral part in both the recovery and future sustainability of key elective pathways.The post holder will have the opportunity to work with a large variety of acute services within the Health Board, assisting them to meet their financial challenges and providing influence and financial support. The role involves maintaining excellent working relationships with Finance, Operational and Clinical stakeholders; at all levels and in a multi-site environment.Main duties of the jobThe individual will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development and implementation of financial policies, which facilitate the achievement of the Health Board's financial objectives.The post-holder will be expected to implement an annual budget setting process and to provide financial advice to all interested parties on a wide range of issues.Applicants should possess a good understanding of financial and governance requirements, have a good track record of managing a high performing team and have the ability to demonstrate wider business partnering skills.You will ideally have management and business partnering accounting experience in the NHS, or similar large organisation; in an environment dealing with complex issues. You will have excellent analytical and communication skills and be able to maintain excellent relationships with both finance and non-finance staff, with the ability to present financial data to a variety of individuals and groups in order to influence decision making.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.About usAneurin Bevan University Health Board is a multi-award winning NHS organisation with a passion for caring.
