With a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment, the school offers students the opportunity to enjoy a full educational experience where they can thrive emotionally and physically. While primarily catering to children with SEMH needs, the school also provides additional and/or different provisions for a range of other needs, including cognition and learning needs, communication and interaction needs, sensory and/or physical needs, and moderate learning difficulties.Role Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team to develop, improve, and deliver innovative provisions for children who are not succeeding in mainstream education.
  • Utilize therapeutically based teaching strategies combined with a caring, understanding, and nurturing approach to classroom and behaviour management.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with diverse needs in classroom settings.
  • Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver exciting and engaging learning experiences.
Requirements:
  • Devotion and resilience to support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs..
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable..
  • Ability to motivate students towards high achievement.
  • Commitment to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties, and social communication difficulties.
