
Advanced Respiratory Clinical Physiologist

- Be the lead physiologist for Queens Hospital Burton site, developing and transforming the services in collaboration with a team of physiologists. This includes managing waiting lists, staff training and ensuring an efficient and quality service is delivered.
- Perform sleep study investigations and CPAP/NIV treatment.
- Report one's own results and oversee more junior staffs' reports.
- Perform audit within own area of responsibility.
- Participate in Sleep and NIV MDT where appropriate.
- Perform and report a range of lung function tests.
- Participate in training of other staff in collaboration with the wider respiratory team.
- On a day-to-day basis help to operationally manage Respiratory, Sleep and Ventilation services by managing waiting lists and triaging requests. Allocation of staff work within rota availability.
- Experience in specialist NIV treatment is highly desirable for this role

- Extensive experience as a Clinical Physiologist in a range of respiratory investigations and reporting
- Experience in Sleep diagnostics and treatment of OSA
- Bsc Honours in Respiratory Physiology or equivalent experience
- ARTP Certificate, Part One and Two or Associate level
- Experience of NIV
- Previous experience of communicating complex information to a range of people, including colleagues, trainees doctors and other health professionals
- Evidence of training other staff/colleagues
- Experience of delivering lectures/talks to staff and colleagues
- Experience of working in a team
- Evidence of staff supervision
- Ability to report on junior colleagues investigations
