BCS connect are looking for a Senior Engineer in Suffolk- Heavy Civils/ Infrastructure ProjectsBCS connect are currently working with a large civil engineering client who are currently looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join their business on a Permanent Capacity in the Derby/Leicester area.Our client is currently expanding their Northern Team and are looking for a Senior Engineer to take the lead on a Heavy Civils/Infrastructure Scheme.You’ll take full control of the technical delivery on site — ensuring quality, monitoring design changes, managing setting out, and keeping ITP records on track. You’ll also guide and mentor junior engineers, liaise with stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards in safety, quality, and environmental compliance.What You’ll Do
  • Oversee all technical and quality aspects of the site
  • Lead day-to-day setting out – no supervision needed
  • Manage site testing and maintain records
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Produce and review RAMS and hazard assessments
  • Coordinate service drawings, permits, and temporary works
  • Support commercial and claims documentation
  • Build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong setting out background on highways, roads, or earthworks
  • Skilled in Leica/Geomax and AutoCAD
  • Solid understanding of ITPs and QA processes
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with leadership ability
  • Full UK driving licence – willing to travel across the Northern region
  • First Aid at Work certificate (desirable)
