Teacher Active is seeking passionate and experienced Sports Coaches to work with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Southampton and the surrounding areas. As a Sports Coach in this role, you will lead engaging and inclusive physical activity sessions, while providing personalised support tailored to each student's needs. You'll be working with individuals with a range of SEND, including autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), severe and profound learning difficulties (SLD/PMLD), emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), and ADHD.This is a fantastic opportunity for Sports Coaches who are energetic, proactive, and committed to promoting inclusion through sport.   • Proven experience delivering sports or physical activity sessions in SEND or alternative education settings
  • Confidence supporting children both 1:1 and in small groups, with the ability to adapt activities to suit individual needs
  • Strong group management skills, creating a positive and structured environment during sports sessions
  • A patient, caring, and encouraging approach to working with children who may face additional social, emotional, or behavioural challenges
