– Networking: Work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals, expanding your career connections and learning from experts in the field.What you will do:– Undertake statutory assessments such as Child in Need, Section 20, or Section 31 for UASC referred to the service, ensuring every child receives the care they deserve.
– Manage a caseload of UASC children and young people including Looked After Children and those transitioning from care, guiding them through significant life stages.
– Complete Pathway Plans for eligible care leavers to facilitate their transition to adulthood, helping them build a stable future.
– Play an active role in Looked After Children reviews, age assessments, and multi-agency meetings, ensuring all perspectives are considered.
– Conduct Human Rights Assessments, liaising with legal services and the Home Office/UKVI for comprehensive support on immigration matters.
– Work closely with interpreters, legal advocates, health, and education professionals to ensure holistic support is accessible to each child.
– Regularly update risk assessments and safety planning to reflect the evolving needs of children who may have experienced trafficking, exploitation, or trauma.
