The high-tech multi-agency office has good transport links into Central London and is easily assessable via the M25, A10 and A406.As well as of a range of benefits detailed below, Enfield are an employer that offer hybrid and flexible working.The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £48,060 per annum.The team is the first point of contact for service users, carers and organisations wishing to refer into Adult Social Care for advice, information and community assessment and review.Working alongside Occupational Therapists and Social Care assessors you will be utilising a strength-based approach and the three conversation model to promote independence and well-being. You will work in line with the Care Act to promote service users choice and control in their daily lives while respecting the key elements of the act to ensure service users can contribute to society and continue to have meaningful, autonomous and self-determined lives.Due to the complex nature of the role you must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, producing timely assessments and appropriate support plans. You will have the ability to gather and record information in order to prioritise queries, resolve problems and signpost to alternative services. You will be highly motivated and familiar with dealing with complex and emotionally challenging situations through to resolution while ensuring service users and carers are supported with dignity and respect and are promoted to fully engage in the assessment process, in line with the principles of personalisation and self directed support.Why it's great to work for Enfield Council:

Requirements of this Senior Practitioner job:
  • As a regular and intrinsic part of this role requires you to speak and communicate to members of the public in English, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken and written English is essential and consistent with the requirements of this role. This role also requires you to be polite and courteous when conversing with the public.
