- Maintain, enhance, and embed the Bank's financial crime policy framework
- Provide monthly financial crime Management Information (MI) and reports to the Head of Compliance & MLRO, Senior Management and relevant governance committees
- Analyse the impact of new regulatory rules and guidelines and update the Bank's financial crime policy framework as appropriate
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Bank's anti-financial crime strategy
- Act as the main point of contact for Internal Audit / 3rd Line of Defence with regards to financial crime compliance matters as and when required,
- Attend, and actively contribute to the monthly Compliance & Financial Crime Committee (CFCC)
- Act as the main point of contact for Client Onboarding, and Transaction Monitoring with regards to financial crime compliance matters and escalations
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance with regards to economic sanctions
- As and when required, provide risk-based and proportionate financial crime compliance input to and support the design and execution of other Bank-wide projects
- Design and deliver thematic financial crime related training to Client Onboarding, Transaction Monitoring, Relationship Managers etc.
- Enhance and execute Bank Wide Risk Assessment (BWRA) for Financial Crime
- Analyse the impact of relevant regulatory developments with regards to the Bank's business, suggest (and where appropriate, execute) appropriate enhancements
- Collaborate closely with other members of the wider compliance team, and share experience, insight and perspectives to support the development of a comprehensive, risk-based and rounded compliance framework and culture
- Manage, mentor and coach members of the financial crime compliance team, conduct appraisals, identify training and development needs.
- Stay abreast of developments in regulatory rules and good practice to ensure the Bank's financial crime compliance framework remains fit for purpose and up to date with the latest regulatory developments and industry best practice
- Develop and deliver relevant and appropriate financial crime compliance training to employees and other stakeholders as and when required
- A minimum of 7 years' experience within a Second Line of Defence/ Compliance function in a financial services environment, ideally gained at a small or medium size firm
- Experience in either financial crime compliance advisory or as a financial crime compliance generalist essential
- Team management experience essential
- Previous experience as deputy MLRO / MLRO preferred but not essential
