
Principal Highways & Traffic Engineer

- A successful track record in the management and delivery of a portfolio of traffic engineering projects - particularly sustainable infrastructure projects and roads/traffic engineering projects - ensuring technical content and quality of output produced is in line with the project brief. Following successful accreditation on the AECOM project management system, your will act as a Project Director/Project Manager including monitoring financial performance and key performance indicators. Comprehensive training on AECOM's project management system will be provided.
- A successful track record of client relationship building, developing sound client relationships, being alert to commercial opportunities, identifying emerging opportunities and developing strategies to fully exploit them.
- Demonstrative evidence of taking ownership in preparing detailed proposals, client briefs and fee proposals and contribute to or lead bids. You will also work with colleagues to deliver marketing and business development objectives in both the local region and nationally
- A proven ability to manage a team, with strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and maintain a highly motivated project delivery team. This includes being a pro-active Line Manager, managing career progression of line reports, and supporting and monitoring team skills to ensure they are up to date with current best practice, techniques, and innovation.
- An ability to establish strong working relationships with other internal teams across AECOM's business lines.

- You will have a relevant degree and will have or be working towards Chartered status along with membership of a professional institution.
