- Design and develop innovative water treatment processes, systems, and technologies based on project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the feasibility of implementing new water treatment technologies, considering factors such as cost, efficiency, reliability, and environmental impact.
- Perform detailed process simulations and modelling using specialized software tools to optimize water treatment processes and predict system performance.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and pilot-scale studies to evaluate the effectiveness of different treatment methods, troubleshoot operational issues, and validate proposed solutions.
- Monitor and analyse data from water treatment plants, assessing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for the operation and maintenance of water treatment systems, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Suitable science or engineering qualifications
- Chartered with ICE or CIWEM; Experience
- A good understanding of the responsibilities of water companies, lead local flood authorities and Environment Agency in relation to flood risk and drainage;
- Experience of modelling of surface water drainage, watercourses and waste water networks, preferably using Infoworks ICM and the use of 2D;
- Experience of planning, designing and implementing SUDS;
- At least 5 years’ experience post qualification for Senior and at least 8 years for Principal
- Previous experience of an engineering organisation • Experience in a client facing role. Skills

- Excellent Technical Skill relating to delivery of engineering solutions to flooding issues, design of drainage and hydraulic modelling processes.
- Microsoft office suite.
