We are looking for two experienced professionals to join our facilities team.As a Deputy Hotel Services Manager you will provide support to the Hotel Services Specialist across the Trust in both Hospital and Community Settings providing expert knowledge and guidance for Waste, Cleaning, Catering, Linen and Portering Services.You will need to be both adaptable and flexible with experience of leading teams in delivering efficient and effective Hotel Services and Waste Services. Ensuring compliance with legislation and ensuring services meet set quality standards which satisfy both internal and external assurance requirements.The role is a permanent, full-time role. Flexible and agile working are offered but the successful candidate will need to attend sites as the role demands it.Please note: If you need sponsorship, please check the requirements for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) on the gov.uk website to see if you're eligible before applying.Main duties of the jobTo manage and develop cost effective waste and administrative services across Cornwall Partnership Trust and provide value for money and excellence in service provision.To provide professional and proactive waste services and Hotel Services advice across the Cornwall Partnership Trust, encompassing compliance guidance both within a hospital environment and in a community settingManage staff and budgets across the waste services and Hotel servicesTo be involved and leaddelivery of waste management and Hotel Services changes, ensuring compliance with legislation and national guidance managing any changes through training, setting standards, monitoring compliance and reporting on assurance across the Cornwall Partnership Trust.Coordinate performance data and information relating to types and volumes of waste produced across sites and organisations.About usWe're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.   • Level 3 Food Hygiene Qualification (willingness to work towards advanced.)
  • IOSH Managing safely
  • Experience of contract management across large sector
  • Practical experience in the production of procedures and policies
  • IT literate and competency with all MS Office applications
Desirable
  • NHS waste Managers training
  • Prince 2 Project Management - Practitioner Level
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental standards including Waste Legislation and Food Standards
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of NHS Cleaning Standards

  • Excellent communication skills (Written, verbal and presentational across a variety of audience)
  • Effective communication skills able to produce high quality reports, presentations and develop complex but logical procedural documentation from analysed and interpreted information
