- Setting up for lunch area accordingly, preparing flannels and equipment needed.
- Supporting the staff team in washing children's hands before lunch and sitting the children down at the table.
- Collecting meals from the kitchen, ensuring that all special diets are communicated to the rest of the team.
- Assisting with supervision of the children at lunchtime, role modeling and paying particular regard to manners and 'good eating'
- Ensuring that all crockery, cutlery and other utensils are returned to the kitchen at the end of lunch time.
- Assisting the staff team in washing the children's hands and faces, removing bibs and dirty clothes where necessary.
- Cleaning the lunch room, taking out washing, loading and emptying the washing machine and tumble driers as required.
- To attend staff and team meetings as required.
- Calm and caring nature.
- Good organisation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills with staff, children and parents.
- Ability to develop effective relationships with staff, parents and other professionals.
- Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible.

- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Completion of a satisfactory DBS check and registration with the update service
- Enrolment on Paediatric First Aid course within the first 3 months
- Completion of a relevant Safeguarding course
- A willingness to undertake any further training including some evenings and weekends
