As the Brand Technical Manager you willl be responsible for the implimentation of the group quality strategy that protects and enhances the Brands reputation for delivering safe, compliant and commercial product. You will support sales and profitability through the delivery of consistent product quality, sizing & fit, appropriate to the Brand, to ensure customer satisfaction, maximise sales and mitigate customer returns.This role will lead and develop the product technology function, reflective of the needs of the Brand in terms of structure and technical input; where appropriate work with the Head of Product Quality, Safety & Compliance todevelop synergies and processes to standardise ways of working and reduce cost and complexity for Boohoo Group and our suppliers.YOUR TEAMFrom our humble beginnings in 2006 with just three team members, we've blossomed into a powerhouse evolving into a multi-brand, Ecommerce giant with offices worldwide and a passionate team of over 4,000, our momentum knows no bounds. We collaborate daily with the Buying and Design teams across the Group. We’ve even opened an in-house lab. For us, it’s all about speed, being commercial and ensuring our customers look and feel their best.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGResponsible for the technical development, fit & approval of a product range, owning and leading the fit session, in conjunction with buying. Ensure that process is followed in terms of workbook completion, issuing of fit comments via the workbook and that workbooks are correctly filed.Ensure that all product technologists are following the weekly high returns process, are reorting on issues to their buying & merchndisung colleagues and that timely action is taken and followed.Working with the Head of Product Quality, Safety & Compliance ensure that the Brands quality standards, product approval process, performance standards and test requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers and they fully understand our requirements, monitor their delivery and performance against these, and implement improvement plans with those suppliers who are not meeting benchmark standards.· Implement agreed quality management processes to ensure products meet commercial standards.· Lead a team of product technologists, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability for the· performance of their product areas, whilst developing/approving product at pace.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality expectations into the product during development.· Ensure the required testing of product for safety, durability, and adherence to regulatory requirements, as/when required.· Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to communicate and maintain quality standards.· Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative measures to mitigate potential quality issues.· Use customer returns data and customer feedback to identify specific product issues, trends, and areas for improvement.· Regular reporting of performance metrics to senior management.· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce returns and support· operational efficiencies· Ensure continuously updated regarding industry regulation, certification, and best practices.· Communicate quality standards clearly across the organisation, in particular the product teams· Ensure products sold uphold Boohoo's commitment to delivering exceptional quality, safety, and value to customers.WORKING WITH USTo succeed here, you must love working at pace. We're passionate, agile, creative and one team.MORE ABOUT YOUHigh number of years of experience in a senior quality management role, ideally within an online fashion retailer· Strong understanding of product quality standards, regulatory requirement, testing methodologies.· Proven track record of managing commercial fit & product approval processes, within a fast paced, competitive market· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.· Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive informed decisions.· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.· Familiarity with sustainability and ethical sourcing practices· Experience gained in a manufacturing environment a bonusINTERVIEW PROCESSIf we think you could be a good fit for the role, you will be asked to have an informal conversation with one of our Talent Partners.If successful from this meeting, you will then be asked to meet with the Line Manager at our Dale Street HQ.
