- The post holder will be responsible for the administration and delivery of systems to support the approvals process for research studies in line with the UK Policy Framework and HRA processes.
- The post holder will provide support to investigators and teams from feasibility stage to end of study.
- They will promote a strong culture of research among all staff within the Trust and promote growth in Trust income from research activity.
- Awareness of the importance of the data protection act and confidentiality in research.
- Awareness and Importance of research governance legislation and GDPR.
- Experience of complex administration tasks preferably in a healthcare / academic environment.
- Experience of database management
- Experience of working in NHS research and development
- Experience of effective dissemination of information to raise awareness of service provision and requirements
- Diploma level or equivalent
- Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English
- Research qualification
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Attendance at foundation improvement training and the new and aspiring leaders program within first year of role
- Advanced computer/ keyboard skills and working knowledge of computer based packages e.g. Word and Excel needed for ability to access, input and retrieve information onto a computer and monitoring of trials patients.
- Self-motivated, with initiative, able to work independently
- Adaptive, flexible and committed
- Ability to understand and interpret complex government legislation and guidelines.
- Organisational and time management skills to manage and deliver a range of tasks and projects to tight deadlines
