Design Engineer: Our client, an electro-mechanical engineering business, seek to appoint a Design Engineer for their Leeds office. This is an site position to design and develop products from initial concept through to finished design. The appointed Design Engineer will be well qualified (degree preferred) and have experience of electro-mechanical design. Experience of 3D CAD design software is a must. - Generate product designs and CAD models, including calculations/analysis both by hand and with the assistance of computer software
- Preparation of manufacturing detail drawings, assembly drawings, schematics and BOMs
- Create test specifications and work with other R&D team members to assemble, test and examine prototype products
- Assist the Sales and Operations departments as required to ensure that customer expectationsDesign Engineer - Candidate Profile - Applications Engineer
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering as a minimum. Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
- Experienced with 2D and 3D CAD - AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, SolidEdge or equivalent
- Aware of modern manufacturing techniques and materials
