Listed on the London Stock Exchange Main Market, we pride ourselves on our ability to think and act differently, offering expert advice to over 1600 pension schemes and administering pensions for over 1,000,000 members.About the Team:XPS Group IT provides IT services to all 2000 employees in 17 offices located across the UK and Ireland. We operate an extensive in-house IT services function including 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support, Cyber Security Services, Application Support and Development. Currently we manage some 500 VM on our internal network across two datacentres but are shifting our focus to Azure services and infrastructure.Part of the cloud transformation and efficiency initiative will be the development of process automation working across the software ecosystems in our organization. The Successful candidate will be part of this exciting new development team and as such can influence the service tools and delivery methods employed.Key Responsibilities:
  • The design, implementation, and management of automation solutions built primarily on the Microsoft Power Automate Platform
  • Contribute to the organizational technical vision, roadmap, and delivery plan for process automation, ensuring it supports business objectives.
  • Technically lead, mentor, and manage a team of automation engineers.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across various departments to identify and prioritize automation opportunities and build strong relationships.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of automation governance, development standards, documentation protocols, and conduct code reviews and solution architecture assessments.
  • Work alongside our IT specialist teams to ensure data security, infrastructure & networking standards are respected.
  • Stay updated in all business service features and developments to ensure we remain focused on relevant services.
Your Profile:Essential:
  • Previous experience as a process automation lead or in a similar role with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate tooling and build practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven hands-on experience in design, implementation, and management of automation solutions.
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Implementing Power Platform Centre of Excellence and its recommended findings.
  • Experience managing technical teams and leading complex process automation projects.
  • Understanding of data governance, cyber security standards, and automation compliance.
  • Experience with designing and visualising process automation using low-code-no-code Microsoft Power Automate tooling.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C#)
  • Deep understanding of business process analysis, optimisation techniques, and enterprise integration
  • Experience using process improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, BPM)
Desirable:
  • Whilst not a pre-requisite, knowledge and experience in the financial services industries would be advantageous.
