The school has a supportive SLT, a vibrant EYFS setting, and a positive, collaborative team ethos.Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- Work as a Teaching Assistant within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children in their learning and development.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with varying needs, helping to build their communication, social, and motor skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and EYFS staff to deliver engaging and child-centred activities.
- Support children with toileting, feeding, and other basic care needs as required in the EYFS setting.
- Help create a calm, structured, and stimulating environment for learning through play.
- Observe and track pupil progress under the guidance of the class teacher and contribute to EYFS assessments.
- Maintain strong communication with parents, staff, and external professionals when needed.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an EYFS or early primary setting.
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude suited to working with young children.
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Willingness to commit full-time and long-term from September.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a warm and professional team.
