We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our busy and friendly dispensary team at Kingston Hospital.You will be working alongside an experienced team in a technician-led dispensary on providing a comprehensive dispensary service to a wide range of specialties including surgery, medicine, elderly care, critical care and our community services.In addition to excellent communication and team-working skills, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical CouncilApplications from candidates with either a hospital or community background are welcomed.Main duties of the jobTo supervise the dispensary technical team and oversee the day to day running of the dispensary services.Responsible to lead the team and implement changes that benefit the Department.Deputise for the Chief Technician for allocated duties in their absence.About usDevelopmentand staff wellbeingYour growth and personal happiness matters to us.   • Practice Supervisor or will obtain within 18 months of starting in post
  • Accuracy Checking Qualification
Desirable
  • A1 NVQ Assessor / Educational Supervisor
Experience and SkillsEssential
  • Recent dispensing experience in a Hospital or community environment
  • Ward top-ups
  • Good communication on both a written and verbal basis
  • Ability to manage workload and delegate to teams
  • Computer literate including Excel spreadsheet creation and MS Word
Desirable
  • Supervising Pharmacy Assistants or Technicians
  • Hospital pharmacy computer systems
