- Working at the ward reception area.
- Provide support to Ward Manager and MDT
- Minute taking of MDTs, business meetings and adhoc professional meetings
- Amending and updating staff rotas (Health Roster)
- Ordering of supplies
- Uploading of patient records
- Uploading to staff files
- Petty cash
- Producing packs for patients
- NVQ Level 3 Business Administration.
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required.
- Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team.
- Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
- Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes.
- Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages, ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of a range of administrative procedures including diary management and arranging appointments.
- Experience or understanding of creating electronic records, electronic filing systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure.
- Awareness that you will be serving as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff within the ward.
- Awareness that you will be responsible (with support and training) for managing front-of-ward operations, including reception duties and patient inquiries.
- Ability to oversee the wards reception area, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.
- Confidence in delivering front-facing support by greeting and assisting all individuals entering the ward.
- Acting as the central liaison at the ward entrance for both internal and external communications.
