Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a highly regarded all-girls SEMH secondary school in Southampton, rated Outstanding by Ofsted and recognised nationally as a Centre of Excellence.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team within a specialist setting that supports girls aged 11–16 with a range of needs, including:High anxietySocial, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsAutism Spectrum Condition (ASC)ADHDAttachment difficulties and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)Learning difficulties and complex needsThe Role:We are looking to appoint an experienced or aspiring Teaching Assistant to support students across the curriculum. You’ll play a vital role in removing barriers to learning, helping pupils to regulate emotions, engage in education, and develop confidence and independence.This role will involve working one-to-one and in small groups, supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.Ideal Candidate:Experience working with young people with SEMH, SEND, or in a care/support setting (preferred but not essential)Calm, empathetic, and able to build positive relationshipsFlexible and proactive with a team-first attitudeCommitted to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeingWhat Teaching Personnel Offer:A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placementWeekly pay through our PAYE system – no umbrella feesAccess to ongoing CPD and training coursesOpportunities for long-term work and career progressionA rewarding role where you’ll truly make a differenceAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
