Ayrshire – Mon-Fri, Days and NightsAre you an experienced Assembly & Test Fitter with a background in precision engineering or heavy industry? A well-established global engineering manufacturer based in Glasgow is looking for a skilled fitter to join their operations team. This is a great opportunity to work with complex, high-value components in a business renowned for quality and technical expertise.Purpose of the Role:
To assemble, test, and inspect precision-engineered products to exacting industry standards, ensuring reliability, performance, and safety. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality products for critical global industries.Are you who we’re looking for?Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.Strong background in mechanical fitting, assembly, and testing in a precision or heavy engineering environment.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, or pressure testing equipment is highly desirable.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest standard.Strong awareness of Health & Safety and quality control processes.Team player with good communication skills and the ability to work independently when required.What’s in it for you?Competitive salary, depending on experience.Permanent, full-time position with job security in a global engineering business.Opportunity to work with advanced equipment and industry-leading technology.Supportive team environment with opportunities for development and progression.A strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Interested?
