The Opportunity:A nine month interim role to support the implementation of a new Partner Remuneration Reporting tool, through data cleansing and tool testing.Sitting within the Glasgow Financial Management Team, reporting to the Senior Partnership Accounting Manager.Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • To undertake a partner remuneration data cleansing exercise including reconciliations of all partner profit and capital related balances held in the financial systems to statements issued to partners
  • Also to review the global balance sheet, by office, in respect of all partner related balances and reconcile the Ashurst Australia business annual profit clearing to the partner profit balances
  • To document the local office processes in respect of all partner related postings
  • To assist with any direct testing of the new Partner Remuneration Reporting tool and assist with any parallel running implementations in respect of the new tool
  • To utilise the new tool to accurately record, manipulate and report on all partner remuneration data for the purposes of monthly management accounts, regular reporting to partners and to respond to ad-hoc management requests.
  • Completion of ad-hoc accounting tasks supporting the Partnership Accounting team
This is a full-time, 9 month Fixed Term Contract role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working.More information can be found in the job description attached to the role on our careers siteAbout you:The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
  • Part or fully qualified accountant
  • Attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Self-starter / Able to work independently
  • Experience working within a professional services environment (desired)
  • Experience of Thomson Reuters 3E accounting system (desired)
  • Experience of Cognos TM1 analytics tool (desired)
