Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley, are rated by our regulator the CQC as 'Outstanding ' we are so very proud of all our staff, both past and current , who have helped us to achieve and maintain high quality standards of care and support, ultimately trying to keep our wonderful clients , safe in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, for longer.Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit a second Part-Time Trainer.In this role you will train, induct and deliver the ongoing training of all care and office staff in accordance with our standards, policies and procedures. Ensure we comply with out regulator CQC requirements, relevant regulations and legislation and in line with accepted best practices.Job DescriptionFollow and deliver Home Instead training and induction programmes in accordance with legislation and current industry best practice inclusive of Company Policy and Procedures.Reflect the core values of Home Instead West Lancashire & ChorleyTo act as an ambassador for Home Instead West Lancashire & ChorleyPrimary Duties which could include, but are not limited to:
  • Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation
  • Deliver appropriate training programs externally to stakeholders
  • Advising Senior Management of any changes to the training we provide which may be required to meet legislative requirements.
  • Arranging and providing bespoke training updates for all staff
  • Assisting all staff with additional training support e.g. NVQ/QCF/SVQ
  • Keeping accurate training records for all staff
  • Support in accessing training from local funding sources
  • Assisting and contributing towards Quarterly Care Professional team meetings
  • Regular contact with all Care Professionals through mentorship programme and QA process
  • Support with Observational Monitoring/Spot Checks as and when required
  • Support with Care Professional Inductions including observations to assess competence in line with the Care Certificate
  • Support Care Professionals with personal development plans.
  • Regularly review and update with changes forwarded by National Office
  • Covering care shifts as and when required
  • Participate in out of hours “on call” rota
  • Provide up to date hand over for out of hours cover
