We are conscious that our culture and close working relationships are vital assets and we are determined to maintain these as we increase in size.Our Real Estate Disputes team are seeking a new Senior Associate hire into our London office.ResponsibilitiesThe Real Estate Disputes team deliver a high-quality legal service. The primary focus of the role will be on residential property issues with a focus on issues arising from the Building Safety Act 2022.You will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload as well as excellent professional development opportunities. The team is assisted by outstanding knowledge lawyers and dedicated support staff.The department acts for a broad range of clients including;
- Commercial landlords and some tenants.
- Investors.
- Developers.
- Ground rent and other residential landlords.
- Social Housing organisations.
- Private individuals.
- Experience of a range of residential matters is sought including;
- Building safety issues:
- Working knowledge of issues relating to the Principal Accountable Person and Part 4 of the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Dealing with service charge challenges and advice based on Part 5 & Schedule 8 of the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Remediation Contribution Orders and Remediation Orders.
- Advising on Enforcement Notices issued by Local Authorities.
- Queries relating to Government grant funding schemes for external wall remediation.
- Non building safety related service charge matters including s.27A applications, s.20 consultation, breach of covenant and related Tribunal proceedings.
- Enforcement of easements and restrictive covenants.
- Transactional support work.
