Chilled Warehouse Team LeaderLocation: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Hours: Minimum of 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 on a rotating shift pattern (various start times from 06:00)Cotteswold Dairy, one of the UK’s leading independent family-owned dairies, is seeking an experienced and motivated Chilled Warehouse Team Leader to join our busy warehouse and distribution operation in Tewkesbury. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic warehouse professional with food manufacturing, FMCG, or chilled logistics experience to lead a team in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.The Role – Chilled Warehouse Team LeaderAs a Chilled Warehouse Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations in our chilled warehouse, ensuring accurate receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch of chilled dairy products. You will lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, maintaining high standards of efficiency, health and safety, and product quality. This hands-on role involves coordinating stock movements, managing manual handling tasks, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-moving logistics and distribution setting.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets
  • Manage stock movements, ensuring product codes match picking tickets
  • Oversee safe and efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Ensure safe manual handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised chilled warehouse environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to team members
  • Cover for the Warehouse Supervisor as required
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in a busy warehouse environment – ideally in food manufacturing, FMCG, chilled distribution, or logistics
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including early starts from 06:00
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and strong attention to detail
  • Ideally a current Counterbalance Forklift Licence or Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence – training available for suitable candidates
