You’ll play a vital role in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting across a diverse range of commercial and industrial premises.The RoleAs a Fire Alarm Engineer, you’ll be a key part of our field service team, ensuring that life safety systems across our client base remain reliable, compliant, and effective.Your role will involve:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, repairs, and system upgrades.
- Work primarily across Sussex with occasional wider travel.
- Deliver a high level of customer service, building trusted relationships with clients.
- Ensure all systems comply with fire safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., BS 5839 & BS5266).
- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
- Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and relevant compliance standards.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- Professional communication and organisational skills.
- Valid UK driving licence (maximum 6 points).
- FIA or BFC certification (preferred but not essential).
