Location: Teesside | Contract: Full-time or Part-time | Start Date: September 2025Are you passionate about making a difference in pupils’ lives and helping them reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a committed and motivated Intervention Tutor to support students in schools across Teesside from September 2025.This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, experienced tutors, or qualified teachers looking for a rewarding role focusing on small-group and one-to-one support.What you’ll do:
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions in English, Maths, or other core subjects
- Support pupils who are working below age-related expectations or need additional academic help
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, both in and out of the classroom
- Monitor and report on student progress to school staff and Teaching Personnel
- Build positive relationships that boost students’ confidence and engagement
- A degree or teaching qualification (QTS not essential but desirable)
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, or another curriculum area
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- A proactive approach to supporting learning and removing barriers to achievement
- Competitive hourly rates, paid weekly via PAYE
