Job Title: Sous ChefLocation: Baywatch Resort, Sernabatim, South GoaDepartment: F&B ProductionReports To: Executive Chef / Head ChefEmployment Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the kitchen staff, ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness of meals.
  • Train and mentor kitchen team members to improve skills and maintain standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Assist in menu planning, costing, and development of seasonal dishes.
  • Step into the role of Executive Chef during their absence.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
