THE CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS WILL BE FRIDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2025JOB TITLE: Housekeeping AssistantJOB REFERENCE: HAOI 08/25REPORTING TO: Housekeeping SupervisorLOCATION: The Old Inn, 15-25 Main St, Crawfordsburn, Bangor BT19 1JHSALARY: £12.21 per hour moving to £13.21 per hour after 6 months.About the role:As Housekeeping Assistant, you will join a dedicated hard-working team and ensure all hotel accommodations and public areas are clean and tidy ready for our visiting guests.The successful applicants will have hard-working attitudes, a keen eye for detail, and most importantly, enjoy working as part of a team. We are seeking enthusiastic new team members so if you think you have what we are looking for please get in touch!Job Description:Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Cleaning and servicing the Hotel including rooms and all public areas as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Manager.
  • Complete tasks such as making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures plus a variety of other cleaning tasks.
  • Using disinfectants and steam-operated sterilizers.
  • Adhering to all safety and personal protective equipment, practices, and procedures.
  • Working within the guidelines of Health, Safety, Fire, and Hygiene operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times.
  • Maintaining clear, efficient communication with the reception team ensuring rooms and public areas are serviced in a timely fashion ready for our hotel guests.
We would love for you to have some similar previous experience but this is not essential as full training will be provided. We welcome applications from people with general cleaning experience or transferrable skills.Applicant Criteria:
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous hospitality experience (desirable).
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (desirable).
  • Work well under pressure and be an excellent team player.
