
Joiner/Carpenter

- Interpreting technical drawings and plans to construct custom-built structures.
- Fabricating items from timber, MDF, plywood, and other sheet materials using workshop machinery and hand tools.
- Assisting in the fit-out and installation of structures at events, exhibitions, and venues nationwide.
- Collaborating with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople to meet tight deadlines.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of finish, safety, and durability.
- Loading/unloading materials and helping with general workshop duties as required.
- Travelling to event locations for set-ups (some early starts, late finishes, and occasional overnight stays may be required).
- Proven experience as a joiner or carpenter (ideally with a background in set-building, shopfitting, or construction).
- Skilled in using woodworking tools, panel saws, routers, and handheld power tools.
- Ability to work from technical drawings and measurements.
- Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Flexible attitude with a willingness to travel and work varied hours during busy periods.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Forklift or telehandler licence
- CNC machine operation experience
- Previous experience in events, theatre, or exhibition construction
