- Teach and assess across the University of Law course portfolio in such subjects assigned to you. This will include teaching and assessing students across a range of written and oral skills and giving individual feedback on students’ performances.
- Assist in the preparation of assignments and assessments.
- Participate in course design and review.
- Act as an academic coach to students, including being available and willing to discuss students’ problems as they arise, their performance and academic progression
- Assist in marketing, widening participation and extra-curricular events.
- Supervise student dissertations and research projects.
- Degree (any subject) or equivalent
- Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCHE)*
- (For Senior Lecturers – Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and PgCHE are both required)
- Qualified solicitor or qualified barrister or Paralegal or A relevant academic/pedagogical/teaching background with practical legal knowledge/experience
- Excellent oral clarity, written and presentation skills
- Engaging, professional and committed to teaching
- Experience of teaching in a Higher Education setting or an educational establishment (desirable).
