- Providing assurance that our new and existing services remain sufficiently secure, so that we can provide an outstanding retail experience and remain trusted by our customers.
- Performs Daily Security Operations Tasks
- Owning and addressing operational incidents, escalating as necessary
- Continuously improving operational tasks to ensure ongoing effectiveness
- Acting as Subject Matter Expert for one or more of our core security technology tools
- Ensuring it remains fit for purpose
- Full lifecycle management
- Training others in the use of it, both within the team and the wider IT community
- Owns items on the team’s backlog and roadmap
- Delivering point solutions
- Assessing wider change initiatives for security compliance
- Remediating known deficiencies
- Addressing outputs of penetration tests, purple teaming, risk and audit findings
- Sets and measures clear, realistic and timely objectives and goals.
- Anticipates the impact of executing plans across Lookers IT and has a flexible approach to managing time to allow for contingencies, anticipating and removing potential obstacles.
- Uses resources and time expertly, and skillfully and promptly sorts the urgent and the important priorities within complex processes.
- Through their actions and behaviours, they continually inspire others to remain calm, focused and energised during periods of extreme pressure.
- Always encourages a calm approach to the work environment around them, even when faced with the most challenging of situations
- Builds on successful initiatives to gain acceptance of ideas, including building behind the scenes support for ideas and initiatives.
- Clearly identifies what constitutes the appropriate level of workload for self and others, ensuring processes and tasks are planned to limit levels of stress, whilst remaining productive.
- 2 years+ experience in a similar Cyber Security role
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft security (Defender, Sentinel, Intune)
- A solid understanding of core IT concepts is essential. This should cover a working knowledge of both IT Infrastructure and IT Service Management.
- Problem solving capability, and ability to “join the dots” into a bigger picture.
