You will partner closely with commercial leadership to provide financial insights, challenge assumptions, and support the delivery of revenue, profitability, and working capital targets.Scope of the Role
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the Commercial Leadership Team (Sales, Marketing, Customer Strategy & Insights).
- Provide financial insights and recommendations on pricing, gross-to-net (G2N), advertising & promotion (A&P) investments, and product mix.
- Lead the weekly and monthly forecasting process, ensuring high accuracy and transparency.
- Evaluate risks and opportunities, driving actions to optimise financial outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and company policies.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and support the 5-year Long Range Planning (LRP) cycle.
- Translate demand plans into rolling financial forecasts through the IBP process.
- Align financial plans with strategic objectives and resource allocation.
- Drive initiatives to improve commercial P&L performance and reduce operational costs.
- Deliver training to non-finance stakeholders to enhance financial literacy.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and scenario modelling to support business cases and investment decisions.
- Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on collaboration, inclusion, and continuous development.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of consumer business drivers.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills (Excel essential; Power BI/PowerPivot desirable).
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
