- Lead a multi-year, multi stream programme with a high dependency between the programme's individual projects.
- Plan and design the programme and proactively monitor its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure effectivequality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with wider Mishcon strategy, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards.
- Ensure the delivery from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements.
- Lead the programme's governance arrangements and other senior stakeholder programme meetings.
- Ensure there is allocation of appropriate resources and skills within the programme's individual projects.
- Manage the overall programme budget and assets with specific focus on cost management.
- Work closely with procurement to ensure supplier onboarding is completed correctly and manage multiple supplier relationships for the duration of the programme.
- Effectively communicate programme objectives and progress to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Manage risks to the programme's successful outcome.
- Work with Change Managers on the transition to new working spaces.
- Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise.
- Report the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the Programme Chair and Head of Transformation PMO & Delivery.
- Lead programme post implementation analysis to identify successful and unsuccessful elements - contributing to continuous improvement processes.
- Adopt best practices and tools for programme management and delivery, and ensure correct processes are followed.
- Experience of delivering premises strategy and office moves of varying size, ideally in a professional services environment.
- 1-2+ years consultancy experience or similar environment as a programme manager.
- Proven ability of building strong external and internal relationships and surpassing expectations.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to efficiently coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment.
- Ability and desire to meet deadlines and deliver results with minimum supervision.
- Ability to think on your feet to deal with unforeseen issues, manage conflicting interests between teams and identify compromise.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and very high energy with a willingness to accept varied workload.
- Competency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project).
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams.
- Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes.
- Soundbusiness case development skills.
- Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with thirdparties.
- Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
- Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme.
- Able to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
- Pro-active and takes initiative with a focus on driving progress and delivery.
- Personable and confident, able to build relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Able to deal effectively with others; using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to ensure consensus and positive working relationships within the project environment.
- Able to communicate with individuals and groups clearly and succinctly in a variety of situations and at all levels; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others' thoughts and actions; engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
