With a strong focus on pupil wellbeing and SEN support, the school provides a meaningful setting to grow and develop professionally.About the Role – Graduate Classroom AssistantYou will work closely with class teachers across Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2 depending on your interests and strengths. The role includes supporting small groups and individual pupils, including those with additional needs such as SEN, EAL, or speech and language difficulties.Responsibilities include: - Graduate Classroom Assistant
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Leading group sessions in literacy, phonics, or numeracy
- Supporting children with special educational needs or learning difficulties
- Promoting engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Helping adapt resources and prepare materials
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Holds a 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology, English, Education, or related fields are desirable)
- Has previous experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, youth work)
- Is calm, confident, and committed to supporting children’s learning
- Is considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or therapy
- Can commit to a full academic year in a full-time role
