Job descriptionOutreach Tutor (English & Maths) – BromleyAre you a qualified teacher looking for a more flexible way to continue making an impact?Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated and passionate Outreach Tutors to support young learners in the Bromley area who currently require afterschool tuition to provide them with additional support.This is an excellent opportunity for teachers with QTS or PGCE who are interested in stepping away from the traditional classroom setting while still delivering high-quality, 1:1 learning experiences.About the RoleAs an Outreach Tutor, you will work with students on a one-to-one basis, delivering tailored English and Maths sessions that help bridge learning gaps and rebuild confidence. Most tuition takes place after school hours, although some daytime availability may also be required depending on pupil needs.You’ll have the chance to:
  • Design engaging and personalised lesson plans
  • Work independently while receiving ongoing support from Prospero Teaching
  • See the tangible difference you’re making in each learner’s journey

Role Details
  • Location: Bromley (and surrounding areas)
  • Position: Outreach Tutor (English and/or Maths)
  • Contract: Flexible, ongoing based on student needs
  • Hours: Mainly afterschool, with some daytime sessions available
  • Pay: From £25 per hour
  • Start: ASAP
What You’ll Need
  • QTS, PGCE, QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A minimum of 6 months’ UK classroom experience
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete it)
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Two references covering the past 2 years
