Do you have a passion for Public Health? Join us as an Associate Lecturer delivering public health classes to our undergraduate bioscience students at Birkbeck, University of London.The is looking to recruit a part-time, fixed-term Associate Lecturer to teach on the following module:
, level 6 * 27 hours of teaching
  • Thursdays, 6-9pm in Spring term.
Your role will be to deliver teaching to Birkbeck students, in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully, and to undertake all related course administrative duties as required.Your main responsibility will be teaching as well as preparation of teaching materials, organization, communication with students, student support and assessment marking. You will have knowledge and experience of public health and be qualified to the corresponding level of the award as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience).You will contribute to teaching on our BSc Bioscience and Health, and programmes, giving an introduction to public health to students who have chosen this module. You will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching within the biological and health sciences and to providing support to students that fosters academic growth.Please refer to the person specification for further selection criteria.If you have knowledge in these areas, and you are an excellent and innovative teacher with a track record of student engagement, and want to contribute to an impactful educational experience - apply with us at today.Remuneration:Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £69.68 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.Contract:Fixed-term, January - April 2026, part-time contract.
