Nurse Team Leader OpportunityLocation: Henley on-ThamesAbout Us:
Join our independent Small Animal Practice in Henley on-Thames as a Nurse Team Leader. This senior position involves managing a team of RVNs and SVNs in a dynamic and supportive environment.Role Overview:Responsibilities: As the Nurse Team Leader, you will be accountable for the leadership and management of the Nursing Team. This includes ensuring excellent nursing care for The Veterinary Centre's clients and supporting the Clinical Team of Vets.Reporting To: Head NurseDirect Reports: 7-8 RVNs and two SVNsSalary:£36,000-£38,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Working Hours:Full time (40 hours per week)
Option to work 4 or 5 days per week
Out of Hours:1 in 4 Saturday day shifts
Very occasional night shifts (Monday Friday, less than 1 per month)
Two days off after a night shift
Holidays:6 weeks paid annual leave (incl bank holidays)
Service-based increases

CPD:£2,000 annual CPD allowance

About Us:
We are a medium-sized, 100% small animal practice with plans to expand into a purpose-built hospital. Patient welfare and good case continuity are our priorities, achieved through our dedicated team of night nurses for out-of-hours service.About the Role:
The Nurse Team Leader will lead by example, fostering a culture of positivity and collaboration within the nursing team. Responsibilities include clinical duties and non-clinical management tasks.Core Responsibilities:Leading, supervising, and supporting the Nursing staff
Providing induction, training, and continual development of Nursing staff
Appraisals and performance management of nursing staff
Recruitment to ensure appropriate staffing
Designing and implementing the nursing rota
Constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency and care
Ensuring the team remains motivated and productive
Managing and recording the Team's timekeeping, holiday requests, and sickness
Active role in training student nurses
Requirements:Qualified RVN with at least 5 years of experience
High standards of patient care
Enthusiastic, positive, and organized with good communication skills
Strong team player
People/team management experience is advantageous
