Role ID: SF56451At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Naval Architect at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.The roleAs a Senior Naval Architect, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll join a team who are responsible for ensuring the waterfront facilities and assets can meet the operational demands of a modern Navy.Day to day, you'll be ensuring assets are fit for use, together with assessing if the facilities can meet current demands.
- Providing technical support to the management of floating assets and associated facilities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Providing specifications to support new acquisitions and refits, undertaking inspections and overseeing maintenance, repair and modifications.
- Maintaining records and ensuring assets are certified for use and supporting the development of technical solutions for future.
- Onsite inspections and investigation to ensure tasks and costs are appropriately recorded in accordance with corporate procedures.
- Preferable experience of delivering design packages
- A degree qualified in Naval Architect or marine related engineering.
- A chartered Engineer or capable of achieving Chartered status within 12 months.
