Our client, a leading London-based long short equity hedge fund, is looking to expand their investment team with the addition of a senior analyst to cover semiconductors. The fund has received major backing from institutional players within the space and has a strong unblemished track record throughout its 7 years of trading. The fund run a global market neutral strategy with a holding period of 3 - 6 months.The successful candidate will play a critical role in conducting in-depth research and analysis within the semiconductor industry. The position represents an exciting opportunity for career development, with mentorship being provided by leading Portfolio Managers within the space, and a clearly defined pathway to a money management position.Requirements:Proven experience as an equity research analyst within the semiconductor industry, preferably from a leading hedge fund, asset management firm, or investment bank (both buy and sell side experience will be considered).Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and statistical analysis.A demonstrable interest in public markets investing, with the ability to discuss and generate trading ideas, backed by strong knowledge of the wider semiconductor industry.Ambitious, hardworking, and driven.
