- Support the Senior Portfolio Strategy Manager in preparation of early stage programme gateways and key cross functional meetings
- Define and select programme content to meet customer, financial, attribute and technical requirements
- Lead cross functional alignment activities including co-ordination of Engineering, Attributes, Quality Finance, Marketing and Manufacturing teams
- Develop the product definition from the ground up
- Define and position product attributes with clear customer requirements
- Prepare presentations as a basis for product proposals
- Review business cases with stakeholders
- Organise, prepare and participate in product evaluation events
- Develop new vehicle concepts and programme rationales
- Provide recommendation of life cycle activities and support the management of the product portfolio plan
- Support other activities including Cycle Plan development, studies into new opportunities & technologies and development of cross-carline implementation strategies.
- Monitor market trends and innovative technologies
- Collate competitors' product information in an easy-to-understand format
- Evaluate market research findings
- Analyse data collated from market trends to inform proposals of product changes, presented in simple conclusions
- Qualification (degree or higher) ideally in a STEM subject.
- Experience in a product or strategy-related role is essential
- An exceptional interest in and breadth of knowledge of the automotive industry (brand, products, customer needs); with an awareness of market dynamics and understanding positioning; with a customer-first mind-set.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills with the ability to overcome obstacles and resistance
- Microsoft skills primarily PowerPoint and Excel
- Previous experience of working in the automotive sector
- Comfortable working in a developing organisation and influencing key personnel who are not direct reports; you should thrive on change and be committed to transforming and growing our business
- High-level technical understanding of electrified vehicles
