We are looking for a vibrant, confident person to join our Cancer Hub at Colchester General Hospital to help delivera high quality serviceThis role is a Fixed Term/Secondment until 31st December 2025We need key staff, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.You must have basic keyboard skills and have a clear and confident telephone manner. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar environment within an NHS setting.Please note that this post may close early if a high number of applications are received. Previous applicants need not apply.Main duties of the jobYou will need to have excellent organisational skills as this is a fast paced environment to work in.You will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative and you must be able to remain calm in difficult situations.Patients who are invited to attend these appointmentsmay be anxious about a cancer diagnosis and may be tearful, distressed, upset and/or angry and you need to be able to listen and deal with their enquiry politely and efficiently.You will be required to work within timed pathways and comply with national and local waiting time targets.About usWe are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.   • Previous knowledge of hospital work and systems
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection issues
  • Knowledge of the pressures the NHS as a whole is currently facing, in particular Cancer Services
