We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bath and North East Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Deputy Team Manager, on a 4-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: £21.03 - £27.72 per hourSummary:To support the Team Manager in leading the Family Support Team, ensuring high-quality child protection and court work. The role involves supervising staff, managing complex cases, and ensuring effective safeguarding practices.Responsibilities:
  • Support the Team Manager in overseeing child protection and court-related cases.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to social workers.
  • Ensure cases are managed in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Act as an effective communicator with children, families, professionals, and courts.
  • Contribute to team development and service improvement.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Management and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Social Work England (SWE) registration number.

  • This role requires a Basic DBS
