About your next employerVANRATH are delighted to be supporting a recognisable organisation based in Newry in their recruitment of an Accountant on a long-term interim contract.The Accountant will be joining a stable workforce, and will take responsibility for a specific business unit, ensuring completion of monthly management accounts, and working closely with operational mangers to develop and management quarterly and annual budgets. This is the ideal role for an outgoing character, with strong communication skills to join an established business and take on a role that will have a direct impact on the overall organisation performance.Due to the interim nature of the role there is an opportunity for an immediate start, and interviews are taking place immediately.About you
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years post qualified experience
  • Previous experience of financial & management accounts
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel
  • Ability to interact with non-finance staff
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
What you'll do
  • Manage and co-ordinate the preparation of financial statements
  • Produce management reports and variance analysis
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Enhance current systems and implement new systems as required
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Journal preparation and posting
  • General ledger reconciliations
