Dispatch Operative (Nights)Our Distribution team are now looking for a Dispatch Operative to support the Nights Dispatch department in our Knightsbridge store. The dispatch team ensures all customer orders in the department are filled, Packed, transported and dispatched. Ensuring Harrods’ iconic service extends beyond our shopfloor and into the homes of our customers, bringing the magic of Harrods to customers around the world.About The RoleIn this role, you will play a key part in delivering seamless and high-standard dispatch operations throughout the night shift 11pm – 7am. Although this is a predominantly Monday to Friday role, weekend work may be required during peak periods. You’ll be responsible for the accurate packing and processing of customer and internal orders to Harrods’ luxury standards, handling items with care and precision.You’ll work within a friendly and supportive team, reporting into the Night Manager and Team Leader.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Packing shopfloor and telesales orders with attention to luxury presentation and product safety.
  • Handling a variety of items, including fragile products, using materials like tissue, hex wrap and pad pack.
  • Manually lifting and processing parcels using IShipper and SAP systems to create compliant labels and invoices.
  • Ensuring all international shipments meet customs and Hazmat requirements.
  • Supporting internal collections from management offices, press office, and more as needed.
  • Helping with courier desk duties and special deliveries.
  • Maintaining a tidy and efficient dispatch environment.
  • Assisting with pallet preparation and conveyer operations for export.

  • Be flexible and adaptable to business needs, including occasional weekend work.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and an excellent team player.
  • Ideally have previous experience in packing, warehousing or night shifts (though full training is provided).
