Come and work within the Cotswold locality team, where we have a permanent Health Visiting position, of 34 hours per week.The vacant post is based within the Cotswold Locality and would be based with the Cirencester Health Visiting Team. You would be working with other Health Visitors, Public Health Nurses and Community Nursery Nurses.The role would be to provide a Universal offer of care, which include contacts, such as Ante-natal, New Birth, 6 week and Targeted Developmental Reviews. There is great opportunity for training, such as New Born Behavioural Observation and Emotional Wellbeing Support visits.GHC pride themselves in providing face to face and virtual ante-natal educational sessions and also have a team of Video Interactive Guidance (VIG) practitioners. There is the opportunity to train as a Practice Assessor and be a 'champion' for any of the 6 High Impact Areas.Apart from the Universal offer of care, there will also be an expectation to support families within the Safeguarding arena, working closely with agencies such as Social Care, Early Help and the Voluntary Sector. There will be provision for support with Safeguarding through regular supervision and training.The Specialist Public Health Nurse - Health Visitor would be required to work to the Standards of Proficiency for Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (NMC July 2022).Main duties of the jobThe post holder will hold an allocated caseload, and will work within the skill mix team, comprising of Health Visitors, Public Health Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses and Administrators, to support a caseload of Universal, Targeted and Specialist/Safeguarding Families.There is opportunity to take on further study and to become a 'champion' for areas of interest, for example mental wellbeing and/or transition to parenthood.There will also be the opportunity to support students out on practice, for example Student Health Visitors and Nurses.There is a mix of training within the locality, in addition to supervisory support and team building to ensure staff members feel valued and part of a cohesive and supportive team.The qualification, training & experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.About usWe have a skilled and dedicated workforce of over 5000 colleagues working in a diverse range of services over 55 sites and within people's homes.
