- Forecast Plan and Facilitate on-time materials and take action to mitigate Supply Issues.
- Maintain and Manage Business MRP System and Inventory Levels. Support Purchasing related activities including Sourcing, Negotiating, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Comply with company Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental processes in accordance with ISO requirements and raise any issues of non-conformance
- Maintain accurate and detailed departmental records and planning/purchasing related documentation including the MRP System
- Assess volume requirements, manage supplier order book and schedule parts to meet production requirements and safety stock levels.
- Liaise and collaborate with Global departments and Stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials
- Ensure continuous supplies and take action to mitigate and escalate supply problems that may pose a risk to or impact business operations
- Manage Engineering Change Orders through the Procurement & Inventory Process Support the Sourcing, negotiation and purchasing of materials in line with Business Targets for Quality, Cost and Delivery
- Support with the identification, selection, assessment, performance review and management of the Supply Chain
- Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Five S, VE and Cost Reduction initiatives to eliminate all non-value added activities
- Support Instruments Group to achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery Targets Role Specific Skills and Behaviours: Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritise and make decisions to achieve required goals
- Experience within a Planning/Purchasing role ideally within Electronics/Life Sciences or Manufacturing industries.
- A formal qualification in Planning/Procurement related discipline - Supply chain management/Logistics
- Proficient in Business Systems (MRP - Axapta/Dynamics)
- Experience in the use of Engineering Drawings and understanding and utilising engineering and technical information and data
- Experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and 5S
- Experience of ISO and H&S requirement
- The successful candidate will be commercially and financially aware with attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
