Our Missing from Home Workers play a vital role in keeping children and young people safe. You will work with local authorities, in collaboration with the region's constabulary and social care, to offer support to other partner agencies on the issues affecting young people and their families, including missing from home but also wider issues such as substance use, mental health, child sexual exploitation (CSE), child criminal exploitation (CCE).Main duties of the jobThis is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care and support through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with children and young people and ensuring they're always treated with respect and dignity. Other responsibilities will include: Undertaking return interviews (RHI) for all missing from home/care notifications received from the police/social care Assessing young people's needs and providing harm reduction advice, information and signposting, encouraging engagement into specialist services Determining appropriate support plans and referral pathways for all young people, including the provision of interventions and direct work Leading educational awareness with relevant authorities, residential care providers and foster carersAbout usWithYou provides free and confidential support, without judgement, to more than 100,000 people every year experiencing challenges with drugs, alcohol and mental health across England and Scotland.
